Admin: To be honest it was one of the hardest conversations I have ever had to have. You know, momma bear and all. But these people are going to spend everyday with my child so I need us to be a team. So that was what I needed to do. It was tough.

lindaj: One thing usually the school personnel and parents have the children's safety in mind but achieve that in different ways. They were thrown a cure ball also by the experience I am sure but together the administration and the parents can return

Admin: And I still felt that I was able to discuss their accountability without making them the villain, which in this instance is probably actually quite valid.

Admin: Yes, historically I might not have pushed through some of the harder parts where they needed to hear my concerns, and it could have festered. That wouldn't have helped assure a healthy team. I would have continued to blame them.

lindaj: I have enjoyed the second half of the book much more than the first few chapters. I do wish we could just buy the book to have it in the office to refer to. Maybe I will make a chart to remind me of the parts of a crucial conversation...

Jody B.: I felt that the book was a really good reminder of a lot of things I knew but was not using. Then they added even more good points as I read on. Thanks for the opportunity.
